“Recently, I was planning to purchase a second car for myself. The first thing I did was to look at car magazines to find the nicest looking car that I could afford. I called various car ads and look through the internet for car classifieds. But all along, I did not know whether I was getting a good deal when I looked at the prices. I was lost. A tough choice (March 2005)
“I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your help in guiding me to the right decision about my car. I am very, very happy about getting the ABC. You were right that it was not the first thing that I considered, but your advice that it straddled the middle ground between the DEF and its build quality/image and the XYZ for its performance/handling was quite insightful. I know if I had got either of the other cars, I would have probably felt wanting after a while and then would have likely been stuck with it or faced a loss with having to resell. But having now considered and bought the ABC, I know instinctively it was the right choice as it does satisfy all my requirements.

The problem I had speaking to so many people when I was first trying to make my decision was that everyone has their own views and they were quite polarised. It was very refreshing when I met you, that you took the time to really understand what it was I was looking for before coming up with your suggestions. Thanks also for introducing me to D at ABC Dealership. He was very good and I felt really comfortable dealing with him. I don’t know if he told you this but my parents came for the test drive with me and they were apprehensive about me getting the ABC but he was very good with them and helped allay their fears. It was also quite nice not having to do any hard bargaining with him when I finally decided to get the car, as you had already done that all for me already!
